Participants discovered with us the whole-person approach to medicine and health! The physical, mental, emotional and spiritual facets of life are all part of our overall well-being. A holistic approach to health and wellness keeps all these asepcts of life in mind and can integrate conventional and complementary therapies.
This wide-ranging event featured demonstrations of Yoga and Tai Chi, expert speakers and breakout sessions. Free health screenings were available including body fat analysis, cholesterol, glucose, and more. Flu shots and pneumonia vaccines were offered.
The community browsed vendors including -

> Diabetes information
> Special breakout sessions included private consultations with a pharmacist, osteoporosis risk factors, gluten free eating and diabetes

Featured Speakers
9:30 am "Herb and Drug Interactions" Margaret (Maggie) Daly, Pharm D. discussed the many benefits of herbs. This presentation provided the basics of most popular supplements, their benefits, how to take them, and when they are contraindicated.
11:30 am "Nutrition and You" Ericka Barnes with paradise Health and Nutritioin presented information on healthy eating. Our bodies need proper nutrition for good health! Learn more about essential nutritional intake for a healthy body.
1:00 pm "Take Control of Common Healthy Problems" Rebecca Price Hunton, M.D. presented they physician's perspective on holistic health. How to lower your numbers naturally - blood pressure, blood sugar, body fat, body weight, cholesterol, triglycerides and more. Attendees learned how to significantly change your health without medication, address the underlying cause of common healthy problems, and take control of your health!
